Through the study and analysis of the deprived area St Pauls area of Bristol, I was able to develop strategies and designs which would lead to improvements in the urban quality of the area and therefore lead to a better quality of life for the local residents, whilst still preserving the positive aspects of the neighbourhood.

Many of my strategies were based on the urban analysis techniques of Kevin Lynch, which would return cohesiveness and order to the area, whilst maintaining and adding to the palimpsest of the urban grain.
